Pinpointing Food Shame at Christmas and Shutting it Down

Do you dread this month because of the war you will have with yourself as you eat your way through the month? Are you already dreading January and the terrible feelings of guilt you will have about the food you ate this month?  I hear ya, girl.

How about we try something different this Christmas season?

What if we honor Jesus coming to this earth by allowing ourselves to not be held captive to self-loathing thoughts?  What if we talked some truth to ourselves about what food really looks like in December? (Hint: Not everyday is a party with ten peanut butter balls calling your name.  Most days are really normal.)

By clicking here, I will send you an email with two specific steps I took to come to my peace-giving conclusion.

  1. You will receive a printable to use as a bookmark or to hang on your fridge or mirror.  It is how I changed my thought life using Bible verses and some very specific questions.
  2. You can watch four tiny videos of how I worked through my calendar to realize that I could control this month and I was not at the mercy of food.  I include the link to the calendar I used.

This Christmas season can be one filled with joy and peace.  You can experience the freedom Jesus promises.

You are loved and will be okay.

Sidenote:  If you are already on my email list, then an email with the links, should be in your inbox.  Merry Christmas!

About Janelle Upton

My name is Janelle and I am so glad you are here. I am a person who God brought out of a dark pit and set in a spacious place to be healed and really live. I love to study, read, and ponder all things that will lead me to understand who God is and what He is doing in my life. May what you read in this space lead you to walk closer to the God that is crazy in love with you.
